Thank you for taking the time to read my novel. I imagine that every author has had to face criticism of their work and I never thought that I would be the exception to this rule. I’d like to thank everyone who has shared their thoughts with me and to let you know that I have given careful consideration to every one of them. My book was intended to be enjoyed as a novel, but also to generate thoughtful discussions and perhaps encourage some introspection. Your comments have indicated to me that I have succeeded.
My novel is entirely a work of fiction (except for some parts of chapter 1; 4 eight-year old boys did have a similar conversation while on the way home from a school field trip). I’d like to think that it stands on its own as such. However, its genesis was the many conversations that I’ve had with friends over the years.
If you’ve every gotten together with friends in a college dorm, or around a lunch room table or a campfire and discussed the possibility of God’s existence, especially as it might relate to scientific theories such as the ‘big bang’ theory or the theory of evolution, then you have had those conversations too.
Some readers have expressed an interest in exploring many of the points raised in the story by themselves and have asked for links to sites of interest. Clicking on the Interesting links box on the right will take you to a page with links to sites that should provide some of the information you seek.
